garden and field vegetables
We grow our horticultural crops in the small village Kądzielnia, on the edge of a large forest complex and wide peat meadows. Several varieties of vegetables and herbs are grown here throughout the whole year. Carrots, lettuce, beans, onions, red beets, and cabbage are grown in long patches. Together with flowers and herbs, thanks to their full colour and various shapes, they enrich the diverse landscape of the frontal moraine. In the foil tunnels we are growing veggies which require both warm soil and high temperatures, like tomatoes, aubergines and cucumbers. For various works in the garden, such as weeding or harvesting, we can count on the support of seasonal workers or trainees from the Walldorf’s schools.
